Message: As a biker I couldn't believe it when I rode down to Route 66 in Canyon Country, Ca. in the Santa Clarita Valley. On Wednesday nights they have a bike night or should I say biker segregation discrimination night. They have a sign posted by their outside bar stating that they do not serve anyone wearing colors. I was told by a little Security guy while my wife and I were drinking a cold one that they can't serve us because of the patch on the back of our vests. I proceeded to ask him if they would serve a HOG Chapter member wearing his or her's back patch, and he wouldn't answer me. He told me I could put my vest away at my bike, and I said NO I will leave as soon as I finish my beer. He said no you don't have to leave, well we left walked across the parking lot and dropped $80 on Sushi and Beer. In the future I will return to Bike Night but I will never even on non bike night show Route 66 any patronage. I used to use Route 66 as a stop like on Sunday for lunch and beer but not anymore, I will still stop by there to check out Renegade Classics and hit the Oggi's Pizza and Brewery in the same parking lot for Lunch and Beer, better food anyway.
