Synthetic Oils

I read Arlin's "The Oily Truth" article in the Aug '08 Calif magazine.
I have a '04 Ultra and have been using Amsoil shortly after it was new. I now have 75,000 with no breakdowns or problems.
In reading the article I wondered why the oils tested were as follows:
1. HD Synthetic 20/50.
2. Amsoil 0/30.
3. Royal Purple 20/50.
4. Mobile 1 15/50.
Now I'm no expert on oil, but I wondered why they did not compare apples to apples? Why not test Amsoil 20/50, and Mobile 1 20/50? Both products are available in motorcycle formula. I use the Amsoil 20W-50.
Amsoil won the comparison, but.....would a 0/30W oil have a advantage over a 20/50W oil on a dyno run?
Anyone out there shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Frank, Central California
